1. Separate the Product Code from Its Bin Selection

Start with the complete manufacturer ordering code and the product form offered. Distinguish loose emitters from a populated board, light engine or finished assembly. An assembly may have its own identifier and included optics; its internal LED description does not identify the complete supplied item. State what the buyer would actually receive.

Retain bin information as an additional field rather than overwriting the product number. Lumileds' LUXEON F ES Cool White datasheet DS169 explains separate luminous-flux, colour and forward-voltage selections within a CAT code. This is a product-specific example from the document's 2016 revision, not a universal label decoder for every LED family.

Use the applicable documentation for the actual item before interpreting abbreviations. Preserve an unreadable or incomplete bin as unresolved. Do not reconstruct a missing code from a package photograph or replace it with a broad colour description. Keep the original label reading available so another reviewer can distinguish observed information from an interpretation.

2. Keep the Optical Selection Linked to the Pack

Create pack references that preserve the relationship between bin readings and quantities. If two reels have the same product number but different colour or flux selections, keep their scope distinguishable. A total for the entire family may conceal which selection a buyer can assess or how much identified material belongs to it.

Nominal correlated colour temperature is a description that may appear alongside a more specific bin selection. Do not substitute it for the available bin field. Likewise, retain forward-voltage selection where documented and labelled instead of assuming every unit under the product number has an identical measured value.

Keep readings from original labels separate from distributor or warehouse descriptions. If a repack label conflicts with the available original record, retain both and request clarification. If parts from several packs were combined, describe the mixture rather than presenting a reconstructed uniform bin. The pack reference should remain stable when samples or partial reels move during review.

3. Distinguish Manufacturer Sorting from Current Testing

The Lumileds document describes bin definitions in a specified product context. Such a definition helps interpret the label; it does not show the present output of a surplus unit. Preserve the applicable document revision and any relevant stated test conditions when communicating a bin description. Avoid lifting a typical performance figure into an unqualified lot claim.

Record any existing photometric or electrical report separately. Identify which units or samples were measured, when the work occurred, the stated method and the result actually reported. Do not describe the complete lot as newly tested because its manufacturer label contains a bin code or because a few samples have an older measurement record.

If there is no available report, say so. Visible condition, original sorting information and a current measurement answer different questions. Keep lens or package damage, prior mounting and unknown handling history visible where observed. This procedure does not establish colour matching in a finished luminaire, operating life or suitability for a customer's optical design.

4. Submit Identified LED Groups Without a Match Promise

Prepare an inquiry that names the product, supplied form, pack references, quantities and available bin readings. State which groups are mixed or unresolved. Retain photos that show the relevant labels and observed condition. The general stock-list guide covers wider quantity and location fields; these extra distinctions explain the LED selection a reviewer is being asked to assess.

Ask the buyer to identify which specific groups fall within its review scope. Do not infer demand, a price premium or purchase eligibility from a particular colour or flux bin. A published manufacturer bin table is not proof that the same selection is currently available through any seller or that ICULTRA will purchase it.

If a selected group changes while the inquiry is open, update the affected pack references and quantities before an agreement is reached. For an ICULTRA inquiry, provide the available selection evidence and missing details. Acceptance, verification needs and commercial terms require separate written confirmation for the identified material.
