1. Preserve the Coil Variant in the Complete Relay Identity
Start by asking what the voltage in the inventory description actually refers to. It may have been copied from a coil label, a contact rating or an old equipment description. Retain that original text alongside the observed model and label photographs until the applicable manufacturer documentation resolves its meaning.
OMRON's G7J datasheet lists model structure and requires the rated voltage to be specified when ordering. It presents coil ratings separately from contact ratings. This provides a documented example of why a family name and one voltage field are incomplete. It is not a decoder for relays from another manufacturer or evidence about an offered lot.
For each identified group, keep the full model, stated coil supply type and rated coil voltage together. Use the exact variant's documentation rather than guessing an AC or DC option from terminal appearance. When the coil information is unreadable, mark it unresolved; a purchase record may help, but its relationship to the physical units still needs checking.
2. Keep Contact Form and Load Context Separate
Contact form describes another part of the item. Record the manufacturer's documented arrangement, including normally open or normally closed descriptions where applicable, independently from coil information. Similar cases can carry different contact configurations. A warehouse category such as power relay does not resolve which variant is present or what its contacts are intended to switch.
The G7J contact-rating table distinguishes load contexts and contact descriptions. Preserve those qualifications when a rating is included in the sale information. An isolated current or voltage headline loses the context a reviewer needs. Do not translate one documented load rating into a promise for a different load or an unspecified application.
Keep catalogue information in a specification field and any previous installation in a history field. An equipment label may describe the circuit in which a relay was used; it does not revise the relay's own rated coil identity. If source records disagree, show the difference and ask the responsible technical contact to resolve it before merging the groups.
3. Separate Accessories and Usage Records from Ratings
Identify the deliverable: a loose relay, a relay with a mounting accessory, or a larger control assembly. OMRON identifies separately ordered mounting accessories for some G7J configurations. Use that distinction to ask what is included in the actual lot. An attached bracket or socket should not silently become evidence for the coil or contact variant.
For removed material, retain known equipment-removal history and observable terminal or housing condition. Describe missing hardware or visible damage without converting an appearance check into a switching result. Where the owner has an existing inspection report, link it to the covered units, date and reported checks. State when no such report is available.
A catalogue endurance or capacity description is not a count of remaining operations in these units. Keep prior usage, unknown switching history and any measured result separate. Do not operate a relay merely to make an enquiry look more complete; a proposed assessment needs its own agreed scope, responsible party and exact-product guidance.
4. Submit Relay Groups with Unresolved Fields Visible
Group the released stock by complete relay identity, coil variant, contact form and condition. Keep a quantity attached to each identified group, with the pack or unit references needed to reconcile it. A combined total may be useful internally, but the reviewer should still see how much belongs to each coil and contact configuration.
Resolve the owner's authority to release the material before offering the groups. Share relevant identification and permitted history records, leaving unrelated equipment or customer information out of the enquiry. If a specification field is uncertain, identify both the unknown and the source that would resolve it instead of copying a familiar family entry.
For an ICULTRA relay-stock enquiry, provide the documented coil and contact distinctions, the actual included items and known condition. Ask which identified groups can be assessed and which further evidence is needed. Review eligibility, any inspection arrangements and commercial terms require written confirmation for those groups; the datasheet is a specification reference rather than a purchase offer.
